If you take any injections, insulin, hormones, or other medications, you should really have a dedicated sharps container. In some places, any hard puncture-resistant container, like a plastic bleach bottle, is permitted. But inquisitive minds might open one to see what's rattling around on the inside. Your safely stored sharps and biohazard items are no longer safely stored. Using a proper sharps container, like this one, helps to satisfy the inquisitive mind. If the red color and biohazard stickers aren't enough, you can see contents through the translucent plastic.
The mail-slot cover works nice, just drop your syringe, needle, etc. in the slot and gravity pulls it in. When it's time to seal it up, the slot securely fits in the tabs. Some municipalities will accept this as regular trash, others require special disposal.

Great container for auto injecting pens

I have recently found myself in a position where I have to administer my own injections through the use of an auto injecting pen. Smaller Sharps Containers do not seem to work very well for these Auto injecting pens and this container works great for them. The slot is big enough that you can just drop the injection pen in the slot and you are done! Simple and easy with plenty of room. Thanks.
