Should hold up for a few years, but materials seem a little weak. Locking ball swivel doesn't hold in place after a few months and must be readjusted every couple of days

This worked great. The adhesive is strong and you can tighten it up after positioning it to keep the unit fixed. No brainer purchase.
Much better than that provided in the Sirius vehicle kit

The existing dash unit provided with the vehicle kit has a base that is made of very flexible rubber. The glue is worthless and lasted about 10 minutes, at most. I tried to fasten the radio with hidden screws and the unit still vibrates like crazy due to the rubber.
I just received this unit and it is much better, the base is still rubber, but is quite a bit stiffer to keep the 'shakes' from the receiver. If you use a mount for the Sirius and want to fasten it firmly to your vehicle with screws or bolts, this is the mount for you.
Highly recommended over the stock unit provided in the vehicle kit.
