Looks nice
misha•November 17, 2017
It's been about a month and the plant is doing great.
Nothing like the picture

The plant did arrive in good condition and was healthy, however it looked anemic and sparse. I was hoping in time that new off springs or shoots would appear, however they did not. I wish it looked at least half as full as the picture but it was more like one quarter.
Great plant for our hot, dry northern CA climate.

Received my cactus in perfect condition. I looked around for planting directions and finally found one that said, "Plant it like you would any other new plant. Don't overwhelm it with sun at first and give it water as needed." That seemed to work just fine. Its been a few weeks now and its doing great, getting new leaves and growing taller. I would say its probably two inches taller and 50% fuller than it was when it arrived. The only thing I need to know now is how much cold it will withstand. I saw the same kind of plant, but about 15 feet taller, when I visited Kenya a couple months ago. I guess I will examine their winter temps and cover it if I need to or roll it's planter into the garage.
Three Stars
