The scent seems good, clean, though maybe a little faint? The red dye prevents putting the scent on skin, clothing, hats, handkerchiefs, scented cloth for inclusion with stored clothing in the way you'd do with potpourri... There is no indication of the dye in the product description. However, the price is low, so that adds to this product's starriness. : )
