Excellent value large bag of sun dried tomatoes
APC Reviews✓ Verified Purchase•July 13, 2016
Roland Sun-Dried Tomatoes, like many other Roland Mediterranean food products, are rather middle of the road in character and quality. But they are also, as are other Roland products, always a good value. These sun dried tomatoes come from Turkey. They are pretty good, but can be a bit tough, even after re-hydrating. That said, Roland Sun-Dried Tomatoes are a value buy and are excellent for sandwiches and pastas. RECOMMENDED.

Hard and tasteless

These are awful!! I have never had such a bad experience with something as simple as sun-dried tomatoes. If you try to eat them out of the bag, they are very hard and dry. Almost impossible to swallow. So i put some in warm water to soak for a while hoping they would soften and they do get a bit softer but they don't taste any better. Yesterday, i tried to put some in a beef stew thinking that if they were to simmer in the juices for a few hours they would plump up and taste good. WRONG!! STRIKE THREE - THEY ARE OUT!! They now have found a new home in my garbage can. Do not ever buy these unless you just really like throwing away your money.
