The Right Solution

This was the right solution. I have a 2 car garage and a 1 car garage. I need to store my fishing Kayak in the one car garage, but it does not fit anywhere but above the door. Forget about buying pulleys and rope and trying to rig it yourself or snaking the rope like you do to hang a bike. a 90 lb. Kayak is too cumbersome.
I ordered the 4x4 platform you raise with a drill, but cancelled it before it shipped after reading some more details about the latest version of that product.
Then I found this option. It went up relatively easy, the seller delivered it fast. The instructions were great, and it works perfectly.
I had to angle the rope to the side of the front of my garage to get the distance needed to lift the kayak fully, but it works fine. Some people have commented on the price, but it is worth the money.
