The review asks me for SCENT. I dont know. smells like rat poison? I dont know how to answer. Ok so the rat trap itself is fine, it deploys easily, it SHOULD work as this is a reputable brand and the poison you know seems like.. its there. So. We will see. But as a product it does seem fine as long as the rats die.
Great for refilling My Bait Traps for mice

I started to use this product in my mouse bait traps last year. We had a mouse infestation at our Missouri country home, which also brought an infestation of black snakes. Now, I don't mind snakes, but ones who want to be in my house is a problem. I talked to an expert and he said get rid of the food and the snakes will not come around the house. That's what we did and we have reduced the mouse population on our three acre lot to a minimal amount. We removed the snakes to the woods and I've seen one snake in a year and hardly any mice. We use this bait in our garage, outside traps, inside traps, and in the basement. It worked great in destroying the mouse population and that in turn gave the snakes no reason to show up to house. We do replace the bait every two or three months because it loses its scent and the mice won't come to it. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.
This bait works, but with less punch

In comparison to another product, this one has some pro's (cost effective, does the job) and cons (takes longer and less potent). Based on droppings inside the bait stations, it seems to be working for rats and mice, but not Kangaroo rats. These little varmints (Kangaroo rats) are clever and selective in their eating habits. Snap traps are a better solution. Comparing this to Gladiator from DYI stores, it does take longer and is less potent. It installs easily in bait stations on spindles (using gloves to prevent your scent, and for safety). Most of the pests have left the area now, or have met their maker, but if I see any tracks, will probably reorder.
The area now reeks of dead rats

We use a whole house fan to cool during the summer and it's really making me search for all the rats this stuff is killing. So far I haven't seen any field mice, but have followed the smell to 4 dead rats the last couple months. Lately they have been dying under a low deck which isn't great, but I'm happy with how well the product has been reducing the rats in the area.
Did the Job

I bought this to deal with some rats that took up residence in our yard. In less than 24 hours, they completely devoured the bait. I re-baited it, and they only ate about half of the bait. But, no sign of the rats. It took about two or three days to get rid of them.
