Use different screws
Robert SwindellAugust 17, 2017
I mounted a pair of Polk RM Series II satellite speakers on a drywall/stud wall with these and they worked okay. The mounting rod(s) were too big for the threads in the back of the speaker housing, so I needed to use the (included) step-down thread converter. This creates a weak/thin single support for each speaker. Since these speaker housing have 2 threaded bolt holes, mounting a plate (with 2 bolts) to the back of the speaker and then threading the (larger) rod(s) into that plate would provide a much stronger mount. If I were to do it over, I would probably go for something more like this: https://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Universal-Satellite-Brackets-Ceilings/dp/B002VFVQWS

The included screws were weak: One screw head sheared off and another stripped even though I had drilled pilot holes (in wood studs).
Good Design and Sturdy

These worked perfectly to mount a pair of Klipsch reference bookshelf speakers to my ceiling. The hardware is sturdy and well made, comes with all the screws and everything you need, and easily supports the weight of my speakers (~6 lbs each).
Better Option Then Plastic Mounts
Cunningham1420April 20, 2017
I have both these and the videosecu plastic wall mounts and I can say these are a much better option for people with heavier speakers and want a soild made mount. These are very easy to mount and all the hardware is included. I have a pair of 6lb Polk S10 surround sound speakers on these now and Id only reccomend speakers 7lbs and under. This is the secound pair of these I bought since the platic version stripped out after one tightening, these can be tightened and adjusted multiple times because of the pivot/ball setup.
Well made, easy install, and nice looking when installed.

Great little wall mounts. Seem to be very well made. Smooth finish, heavy metal construction, and versatile. For my application, two rear surround speakers, I only needed the 2 short straight attaching posts, but for larger speakers, or another type of application, they do come with the 'L' shaped attachment posts.

Installation was very simple, 2 holes, attach speaker, then attach bracket to wall, and adjust. I did tighten the screw that secures the ball for the attachment post first, by holding the bracket to the wall with the speaker attached temporarily, adjusting how I wanted the speaker to face, then tightening the screw before final installation, as it may be a little tricky to get to the screw once it's installed permanently. Other than that, pretty straight forward.

Comes with all necessary hardware, you just need a drill and a Philips screwdriver. It does come with what look like drywall plugs for the 2 Philips screws, but I had my own already that I used instead.

If I ever setup another room with surround speakers, I would buy these again. Very happy with them.
Currently the best mount for small speakers. A smooth washer could be better.

Very nice product. I deduct one star here for one possible improvement: please include a smooth washer in the kit.

Current kit includes only a lock washer that has sharp open ends. The lock washer does help securing the installation but makes it hard to detach the speaker without scratching the back (mine has a piano finishing). A smoother washer would definitely help.

All in all, this currently might be the best mount for small satellite speakers. Hope the manufacture could add the smoother washer in the kit.
