They breathe well and cary light. If I ever survive a bite, I'll update, but until then, I can't tell the difference in quality from "that more expensive pair". Great value it seems.

I have bought 3 pair of these! My 8 year old son wears one of them! They're awesome! My only complaint would be I wish the top strap was a little longer? Other than that awesome!

I live in the Appalachian Mountains and we have a lot of rattlesnakes and copperhead snakes being I'm surrounded by forests. Having nearly stepping on a coperhead and my neighbor shooting a rattlesnake that was coming in her house, I decided to get protected. I wear steel toe boots when working in the garden or yard and these fit perfectly around my leg and sit on the boot. You really feel nothing as they do not restrict your movement. The material is very thick and I can't see how anything could penetrate it. When I'm weed wacking the acrage, I have rocks and branches hitting my leg hard. This gives me extra protection from that, and as far as I know, no snake has gotten me but I wouldn't know it it got me from behind. That's how good these are. For as little as they cost, your crazy not to have them if you hunt or live in a snake infested area. Excellent protection and they look good too!

Lightweight and comfortable, easy to put on and take off. I'm not going out of my way to test these, but I have high confidence they'd stop a snake bit cold in the areas they shield. I like the extra protection the front bottom flap gives to the shoe/boot tongue area.

Comfortable and do the job. These have been great this year with as many snakes as I have came across on our ranch. One was a copperhead. So thankful I had these on. They have lasted about 8 months and going strong. The only thing is the plastic buckles somtimes pop out it tighten down to much. I have larger calves and the cover every inch and then some. Very happy so far.
