First of all, the little knobby "lock" can be defeated multitude of ways including 3 lb hammer. Worse, the morons who make this POS failed to put notches on the main section so you can line up the sliding sleeve with the knobby little lock with one of the holes into which it is inserted. And you cannot get a snug fit between the shipping container's two locking rods and the slack gives thieves even more of an advantage. It has heft which connotes false sense of security. Seriously, this is one piece of junk and I hope these shysters go bankrupt soon. You are much better off with a Sealock Security System for shipping containers. Another good alternative is a 12mm Peweg security chain with Custom Hybrid Stanley 24/7 ASSA ABLOY padlock. Just don't buy this piece of junk! I wish I could give it a negative star.

The heavy duty version is just that - heavy duty! Have used for several months now and lock mechanism is still working smoothly.

Liked it extremely! Not only does it work on the outside but it can be used on the inside too! If you have Two vertical cane Latches.
