I read a review of a person spraying their dance shoes with aerosol alcohol and purchased this product to give that idea a shot. It works great. My shoes which I feared I would have to throw out due to smell no longer smell. I spray the inside of the shoes after every day of use.

Alcohol does seem to dry up/stiffen the shoes a little but so far I have not noticed any detrimental effects on their performance.

My shoes are standard men's ballroom shoes, thus they have a lot of enclosed space which accumulates sweat and especially after parties the entire shoe would be wet and soggy. I have not sprayed outside and I don't yet know how alcohol would work on ladies' rhythm shoes which are generally open.

This Isopropyl alcohol is great for electronics cleaning. The high 99.9% purity leaves no residue and dries almost immediately.

The high evaporation rate of the product is the reason why multiple sealed bottles, in my opinion, are better. Instead of having an open 1 gallon or 5 gallon container, which internally evaporates faster -- due the larger surface area of the product in in a large container -- to reach internal equilibrium with a larger volume of air, these multiple sealed ~1L bottles allow you to store the product with less worry about evaporation and limits the amount lost since you'd only have a 1L bottle open as opposed to say a ~3.785 L (1 gal) bottle.

Diluted 2:1 with distilled water gives ~66.5% strength (or 7:3 for 70%) which is better for disinfecting than 91% or 99%. Used at full strength makes a great cleaning solvent.

There are cheaper, larger containers available on amazon but for the convenience this product provides and its trustable purity, this seems worth it to me.

In normal times, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this product just to dilute it, but as we all know, these are not normal times.

Due to the ongoing shortages of almost anything containing isopropyl alcohol 70% or higher, I went ahead and bought this product, despite the higher cost. Ideally, I would have purchased the 70% variety, but I haven't been able to find it in stock anywhere, so I purchased this product and then diluted it with distilled water (2/3 alcohol 1/3 water to keep it simple). This is more of a hassle and not cost effective, as the 99% has very specific uses (mostly for electronic equipment and/or anything else hydrophobic) and is priced higher for that reason. But as they say, "beggars can't be choosers." The bottom line is the product itself came exactly as advertised and I'm just glad I was able to find it at all.

A final note to anyone else that purchased this product for the purpose of disinfecting nonporous surfaces: I recommend diluting the alcohol to 70% because it is more effective (the addition of distilled water will prevent the alcohol from evaporating too quickly to do its job and it will be much more effective). Not to mention, it will last a lot longer too!

I used this to clean VCR heads prior to me converting my childhood VHS tapes to digital. VCRs are expensive and a gamble when buying online. I ended up buying a lot of 11 VCRs from my local university via surplus auction, and to my surprise they all worked. According to my research online the best way to clean the heads is with this fluid and special swabs made for VCR heads. This stuff is kinda expensive for such a small amount. It worked great for the VCRs, now I need to find more uses for it so I can get my money worth.

Bottle very brittle. Cracks easily. Bottle printing comes off during use. Two different orders shipments. One order completely empty due to bottle cracks l. Second bottle missing 30% due to leaks. Expected better from MG.

99.9 % Alcohol works great on electronic boards. Only issue is bottle.
