Yeah, they’re unusual, but character and handling trumps ordinary

I'd dreamed of the spectacular 1950's cutlery featured in Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey," but choked on their $100 per place setting price. These scratched my itch. You'll quickly adapt to their pencil-thin stems, though they may roll a bit if your plates have very steep flanges "˜round the edges. The knives function just as well as those with longer blades. And, sharp enough for steak. These have a precision ethos "” a bit like surgeon's instruments. They're very well balanced, resist scratching, and given their low-profile surface exposure would not have been nearly as impressive had Fortessa sandblasted away their shininess. I use them with Mainstay's square clear glass dinnerdware. Definitely works.
Just okay not exactly what I was hoping for

I really wanted to love these, they look so great in the images online. They look sleek, modern and a unique design but in person I just felt they looked a little cheap. I also, like many others wasn't a fan of the spoon. I loved the different shape visually but using them was a different story. It just doesn't feel comfortable in the mouth
Looks great and well made but not for me

These are very well made and look awesome but they are just not for me. I love the feel, look and use of the knife. I like the way the spoons look but when put into use they are too deep. I feel like you have to suck the contents out of the spoon. The forks also look great but the prongs are way too blunt for my preferance and they are a bit narrow.
I love long thin utensils

I love long thin utensils, so this set fits my needs perfectly. The spoons are an odd shape but the forks and knives are exquisite.
LOVE this silverware!

I totally LOVE this silverware! I wanted something with a different look than what everyone else had plus a great quality that could be handed down to my children like my mother handed hers down to me. Now I want the serving pieces.
