hi quality product with stainless steel pipe coupler that won't damage copper pipes
Exact replacement, but it is made in China. Seems like everything is these days. I mention this only for quality/safety control

Exact replacement for the one installed about 9 years ago. It filled up solid with water, and maybe somebody else would empty it and recharge it to 40 PSI, but for the price here, that would not make sense, plus it could be dangerous to do so. The hardest part of the replacement was lowering it down from its mounted position because it had over 35 pounds or so of water in it, plus its empty weight. Installing the new one stopped the banging of pipes in the house, which happened more than several times a day.
Easy install

Ordered this for my daughter and helped her to remove old and install new. Was replacing the exact same unit so was simple. Had replaced the one in my home a few years ago.
Did the job

I installed it using a bracket and straps that were also available here on amazon. One word of caution, it states in the manual to use both Teflon tape and a thread sealant, be sure to do both as the instructions state, or you'll get a small drip leak and have to re-install it(like I did, oops).
Is what it is
