Looked unsafe and was not Valrhona.

Bought this a year and a half ago and was amazing. Reordered it this month, and when I received it is was very light colored and packaged in about 8 bags and tons of cling wrap instead of the packaging that is shown on the product. Was shipped from India with no legit packaging and looked so sketch, I didn't feel safe using it. Had to throw it away. Not sure what I received, but it was not Valrhona Cocoa Powder. Really disappointed that I wasted my money on this.
Stale, horrible flavor.

Smelled and tasted stale worst cocoa powder I've tried, can only use it mixed with some other to mask the flavor. What a waste of money, not even able to return it! I doubt that this cocoa was supposed to smell/taste the way it does, most likely its old and went bad.

Delicious hot cocoa. Purchased to serve my sisters while here for Christmas. Would recommend and purchase again. Instructions and recipes would have been helpful.
Like Dark Choco

I ran out of Dark Hershey so u can barely see half a tsp left. Valrhona had a darker reddish color of the rest. Dark Hershey looks likes like a dark hershey bar. I also have Trader Joe's Tumaco Cocoa powder and my favorite (for drink) is NY's Sarabeth Cocoa (just to see how it compares. I have more types of chocolate around the house like Mexican bars but I'm focusing on the powder.
Verdict: I have to admit Valrhona is very chocolatey and full-bodied. Just a taste in comparison with Hershey makes me cry. Hershey taste so chemical-y. Trader Joe's has a subtle cocoa flavor. Reminds me of Ovaltine or Milo cocoa. Valrhona reminds me of Italian hot chocolate.

My second time ordering this and I've received a completely different product. The cocoa powder is labeled Valrhona but tastes smokey, earthy, and leathery. The cocoa I've received is definitely not the Valrhona product that I ordered. This is by far the worst tasting cocoa powder I've encountered.
