I purchased these to fit into a half inch hole on the inside of the tailgate on my new truck. I've read that this is a hole that's used when using a bed extender, but I didn't need to be dropping small screws and debris to the inside of my tailgate. This will allow me to keep it covered, while still allowing me to access it if I ever use said extender.
For those reviewers that want to complain that this is not a "trade size" 1/2". No, it's not. If you actually read the description, it doesn't claim that it is. It is for a 1/2" hole. If you want trade size 1/2" plug, go with a 7/8".

I purchased these 1' plugs due to other reviews saying it covered their holes for the sensors. Well, it didn't fit a 2017 F250. It was just a bit smaller than the hole once I removed the sensor plastic housing. Other than not fitting they seem to be good quality product.
