After getting this ball, I realized that it is actually easier to draw a new cue ball than one that has been used for a while :-).

Not as impact resistant as I would have hoped. It's already got small dings all over after a weekend of playing but I have been practicing my break with it pretty thoroughly. I love the feel and look of it though and I noticed the difference immeditally. Will probably end up using a cheap ball for breaking in the future. Would still recommend.
Arrived with the package already opened

Well, I just received this and I believe my rating along with the way it arrived speaks for itself in the picture. Otherwise, I'm sure it's a great cue ball to play with and learn from.

It appears that either A) I've received a "returned" product or B) Possibly swapped during the shipping process and/or attempted theft

Will need to get in contact with Amazon about this one I suppose, as I now question whether it's genuinely new. I'm assuming not.

Update 4/28

Amazon heard my case on questioning the authenticity and submitted a free replacement without requiring return. However, on that call I advised the agent of the yellow tint of the ball I received vs the ball in the picture, and sure enough, now that I have the new (unopened) replacement in hand, there is a clear difference in the coloring. I believe a swap of cue balls was made somewhere along the line.

Keeping my 3 star review as the first ball is extremely questionable and I advise all purchasers to be skeptical of what you receive. The measle spots themselves look exact for each ball. However, the yellow tint stands out from the white ball shown in the product picture and in hand. I can't be certain that the yellowed ball is a fake, but I can remain skeptical. Check the pictures for yourself. One with flash and without for your viewing pleasure. I did play with the questionable ball last night and it seemed decent, but I simply remained paranoid it wasn't the $40 ball I invested in since there are other available (ON AMAZON) for $6 and almost identical.

Bought a set of Aramith premium pool balls and was advised by a 2 time U.S open champion that the set was good except for the cue ball,he recommended this cue ball, and I must say it plays very well.
