Very high quality, has metal bracket to go over door with a piece of foam in it to adapt to various door sizes. Most of them require you to close the door onto the holder and if you open the door you have to redo it. With this bracket I can keep the ropes attached at all times on the BACK of a door so it is hidden, then just go in the room and close the door when I want to use it.
It has really this nylon rope and metal pulley with plastic wheel, not that it needs to be strong but I think thicker rope makes the rope hang straight and just glides better.
Another really cool thing is the plastic handles are curved which feel better in your hands, PLUS each one has cleats inside them so you can quickly adjust the rope length on either side.

Also something to keep in mind when using this product, that in order to operate this pulley you'll need to have enough clearance at the very top of the door.

I bought this recently for me mums and she likes it. The artisanship is well crafted and so far so good. It doesn't cost a lot but still comes with a nice metal axle, nylon rope, and plastic handles. The only thing I didn't like and you can't complain at this cost is the fact that it doesn't have a metal hook to hook up to the door instead of the rope and it would stick up there better. But unless you're tugging on it like it's the last piece of cake it shouldn't present a problem. I'd recommend this for the price and overall quality. These are great for doing some physical therapy or you're just a sad, lonely, pathetic guy at home with nothing to do! bde bde bde that's all folks!!!!

I was interested in purchasing a pulley set with a metal bracket to use for my home physical therapy exercises for a shoulder problem. In the product information this pulley set stated that it came with a metal door bracket or nylon strap so, I checked the questions answered about this product for further clarification. This question was asked and it stated that this product came with a metal bracket. So, I ordered this pulley set. At no point was asked which if I wanted the metal door bracket or nylon strap so I expected to receive the metal door bracket with my pulley set as stated in the questions answered. I was extremely disappointed when I received my pulley set today and it has a very short nylon strap. This is worthless to me. I can't use it because it's impossible to secure in the proper position with my shoulder problem.

I use a similar device at my rehab center to stretch my shoulder muscles after surgery. I wanted to do the same exercises at home on the other four days of the week. I chose the one with a metal door bracket so it would always be in place. My doors are eight feet high and I didn't want to use a step ladder every single time; besides, it takes two arms to mount the webbing door-strap model!

The metal bracket fit easily over the door using one arm and a stepladder. Closing the door is easy though you need to exert *slightly* more force than normal. The bracket is hung for use on the "out" side of the door so that every time the door is closed the bracket's foam pad is compressed against the door. The door is fully functional and the shoulder pulley is always at the ready.

I use this shoulder pulley at least once a day and never have a complaint about its performance. The handles are quickly adjusted to shorter length to compensate for my increased mobility (yeah!) using the handle's pinch point. That adjustment can be easily undone for the next exercise.

It's a great little tool that wouldn't stand up to the pounding in a gym but does quite well in a rehab center and for home therapy.
