Not a perfect solution. Elastic is narrow and a little tight. I can fold it over for a more comfortable fit, but it's not very comfy by default. Worse is that the lace is scratchy against my legs. The reason I wanted shorts instead of a skirt is to prevent chafing. If I pull these up all the way, it's tight against my belly, and the lace is scratchy. If I wear it lower and the hips, my bare thighs still chafe. I was able to wear it all day, but I am going to be looking for a better all round solution.

I can wear my dresses with ease knowing no matter what no one is going to get a peek at my cheeks! The material is light weight and breathable. I like shorts vs a slip because the shorts eliminate any friction from my thighs rubbing together. I hate when my thighs touch, especially when I sit, and these Pettipants prevents that discomfort. My husband thinks the lace lining the bottom of these Pettipants is sexy when they show out of the bottom of my skirt - men are weird, ha! The waistband sits around your natural waistline and is not tight at all. I've worn them with long skirts and short skirts up to my mid thigh. The higher the skirt line, the more you pull these Pettipants up! I've recommended them to all my friends and sisters - especially the younger ones, because unfortunately we live in a world where woman wearing skirts sometimes get unwanted attention - knowing there is an extra barrier between you and the world is reassuring. Also - the product picture does not lie that is exactly how they look and fit.

I have some cute dresses in my closet I like to wear in the summer, but I never felt comfortable in them. I always felt like my butt was hanging out when I bent over or that a gust of wind would come and show my goodies to the world. I have been looking for something like this to wear underneath to quell my fear of unexpected exposure, and also the "chub rub" is a real thing. These are absolutely perfect and the lace peeks out just a little bit adding a bit of fun to my dresses. Love love LOVE! Plus, $10 and free shipping? Can't beat that!

I did not give these 5 stars because of the lace. It's a bit rough feeling right out of the package but did notice it seemed to soften up a bit after washing. The other negative was that the lace seemed to catch on my lightweight dress and would cause both my dress and the "bloomers" to creep up or twist. It was annoying but luckily I wasn't out and about in that outfit for long. I've since worn another pair with a silkier type material dress and there was no problem. I certainly learned to test out my outfits at the house for awhile before heading out the door. Otherwise I love these for the hot summer weather.

I recently decided to purchase slips to wear underneath my dresses and skirts. I purchased this pettipant to try something new. When I wore it with a skirt that I had to work, it felt fairly comfortable. The waist sizes listed feel fairly accurate. The waistband feels good without squeezing too much. I'd be fine recommending this set of pants to anyone interested in an alternative to half slips.
