We are new homeowners and I give my husband lots of heavy chores, so he needs extra back support. I need back support just to do a lot of bending. We originally got good quality lumbar support safety harnesses. There are times though when they slip out of place so we decided to try this product. It provides a firmer support that stays in place. When my back is hurting, I can also wear it under clothing. We're not scientists, so we don't know specifically how the magnets work - we only know our backs feel better when we use this belt. I was a little hesitant to try it out because of the price but am very satisfied with the purchase. When our budget allows, we are going to order a second belt to avoid who gets to wear it!
The belt comes with pocket inserts to add in thermal heat packs. We haven't tried those yet and feel the belt is performing to our expectations without them.

My husband has had 2 failed Spine surgeries that have caused horrendous constant pain with numbness at the same time. I was really leery of spending this much money on yet another pain device. My husband wears this daily. He is very glad I bought it. It does help a lot with the pain. It doesn't completely take it away but it does help him. He recently fell and twisted his knee. It ballooned up to twice the size of the good knee. He wrapped the back brace around his knee and he had immediate relief from the pain and the swelling went down within a couple hours so then he took the brace off and it ballooned up again so he put the brace on it again and alternated with it for a few days and by day 3 his knee was fine. He is now a believer in medical grade magnets.
