This is a very sturdy shower transfer bench. When we took it out of the box, at first we could not figure why the pieces would not slide into each other. Then we realized that each joint has a special peg, which needs to be removed before you can slip the pieces together. Then the peg goes back in place. Clever. I ordered this for my husband who is too unstable to take a shower, so this transfer bench enables him to sit on one end of the bath tub and slide over to the other end and sit over the tub where he is bathed and rinsed off with pans of warm water.

I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This was ordered to help someone with mobility issues bathe. It assembled easily, with the hand grip able to be set on either side. It worked well for the situation it was in, and was sturdy enough for the person in need to feel secure while being bathed with assistance.

It can be tricky to get the shower curtain snugly around the legs that are sticking out of the tub. We used one on either side and tucked them in where we could, but still used a towel on the floor to help avoid wet, slippery spots.

With long term use, some stains didn't rinse off as easily as they initially did. The chair has a texture that helps make it less sleppery when wet, I suspect that's a factor.

I have purchased this Aquasense Adjustable Bath and Shower Transfer Bench with Reversible Backrest
for my Mother in Law as she had a recent fall and is now in need of knee replacement. So she is wheel chair bound until surgery at the end of this summer. We needed something that she could put OVER the tub so she could sit and turn and get into the tub and still be sitting. This worked PERFECTLY. It was stable and I felt completely confident in the chair that it would keep her safe and it did the job. I was a bit torn about it at first because we have never had to use anything like this in the past,but I feel it is most definitely our future. I loved the way we were able to make it the height we needed. We love it and recommend this chair for anyone in need of a chair. I am giving this product a 5 Star.

Fantastic product. Do not buy the cheaper model of a bath tub chair. My mother-in-law had a huge fear of taking a bath. For six months I couldn't make her take a bath. After being in the hospital and returning home, the occupational therapist recommended this bath stool. The two outside legs set on the outside of your bath tub and the handle and other legs go to the inside of the bath tub. So you sit down, hold on to the back of the back rest and the side of the tub. You swing your feet and legs over the side of the tub. Scootchy over. You feel so secure. It is absolutely awesome! I highly recommend this chair for anyone who is unstable or fearful of taking a bath. I also installed a hand held shower head that has a suction holder on the tile of the side wall of the tub where she can reach it. She now takes showers with no fear.

While I don't actually "love" it, I can't find anything much wrong with it. I read many reviews before spending the extra bucks for this one. It is worth it. Manufacturing quality is excellent. Everything fits perfectly. Leg adjustment holes are zig zag to retain strength while adding adjustability. Seats are locked into place solidly, unlike some others about which I have read.
SIZE/STABILITY: This is NOT a small puny seat. As pictured on its box, it will fit over a fairly high Jacuzzi tub. In fact, I wanted to lower it more than it will allow. I decided that this is not a bad thing, as it is easier to sit down and get up from the higher seat.
ASSEMBLY: Not too many pieces to lose. Very large pictorial instruction sheet. This could use a few more instructions about the leg adjustment pins, but not a big problem. All pieces fit exactly and solidly. The tubes for the backrest have an added plastic tip to keep them from loosening up.
ADJUSTMENT: Each bathtub is different in size and angles. Ours is rather shallow, sloping toward the drain, of course. I needed to extend the inner leg closest to the drain, and both outer legs, in order to level the seat. After that, It is VERY stable and confidence-inspiring.
