A MUST TO HAVE IF YOUR NECK IS IN PAIN

My school books are usually 800 to 1000 pages- 2 lbs average.
The Actto BSY-09 holds these heavy book just perfectly and allows me to keep a proper posture while reading on my desk.* I don't use this to read in bed.*

Best book stand is an overstatement. This is not the best by far, it only lasted ONE YEAR and the plastic arms broke! I did not manipulated roughly at all, they just broke. Not a very good product. Looks nice but it is not gonna last for an extended period of time. Very dissapointed.

The bookstand is decent. I purchased two -- one for me, one for my wife. I would make a few changes: (1) The "page-holders" --- the little arms that keep the pages in place --- need to be strengthened. The left-arms on our bookstands are weak, so that book sometimes pushes the arm, thereby not holding the book open. Using a little piece of duct-tape to tape the arm to the bookstand works fine though, but I shouldn't have to do this, the product should hold the book open on its own. (2) The bookstand only comes in one color. The first thing my wife commented about it was "Why did you get me green!?" (3) The packaging for this product is extreme. Good luck opening it without cutting yourself. My suggestion would be to give this product in its wrapped form to the CEO or owner of the company and ask him/her to try to open it.

Gotta love this stand. It holds my 700+ page books pretty well and has a friendly design and color.

I purchased this item early October 2015. I really liked this bookstand in the beginning, and purchased the item because it had some raving reviews. However, I am kind of upset that the back part where you adjust the tilt of the stand is broken and I didn't use it too often. Perhaps like 3 or 4 times since I had purchased it. I usually used it to hold my printed journal articles or small books (I am a student), so I am bummed that it broke so quickly. Just be aware that it is made of plastic and I personally would not put a heavy textbook on it because it will eventually break considering how quickly it broke with me.
