Love Inverness
No strangers touching their ears or tears and done by someone they love and trust

My 5 & 6 year old girls did not flinch or cry! They actually asked me if it was done and smiled proudly when I told them, "It is done. You have pierced ears!" They quickly raced to the mirror to check out their ears. They said it didn't hurt at all! No strangers touching their ears or tears and done by someone they love and trust. What more could you ask for!?

Painfree and fast. Great way to get your ears pierced. You do need a second pair of hands. The medical marker is an ear saver. You can mark exactly where you want the earrings.

Great professional piercing gun that will last years of home use.
LARRY J GUNTER•March 10, 2016
As a former jewelry associate at Walmart where this gun is the only one used I can give a little more information about this gun. It is solidly made with stainless steel moving parts that are what will actually move the earring through the ear and effectively piercing it. Since you will be moving the base of your hand towards the ear there is less chance of going off target when piercing. The cartridges that are used are made in a way that you can slowly push the earring forward to line it up with the dot made on the ear then when you are ready push it through with one firm solid motion.
Mentioned in other reviews, the gun you can purchase from Walmart for $5 is similar but not the same. It is fully plastic, while not a true problem but if you are planning on doing more than one or possibly two piercings the plastic can break. Also the $5 model is smaller and has to sit between two fingers without much room to get a firm grip when using, this one will have at least 2 fingers on the handle when using.
The cartridges used are available at Walmart and come sealed in packaging that is completely clean which will help prevent any infections. Because of sanitary reasons the cartridges cannot be reused and are made to work once. Additionally the point at the end of the earring that goes through the ear is instantly dulled after the first piercing so re-using will cause more pain and possibly a higher chance of infection since the earring would be tearing through the flesh rather than going through smoothly, DO NOT RE-USE CARTRIDGES, please just don't, there are cheap piercing sets for $10 and my local Walmart just had some on clearance for $5 because they were a discontinued style with absolutely nothing wrong with them.
In one review I did see someone mention the back of the earring getting stuck in the cartridge, this is a common issue caused by not pushing the earring fully through to disengage the little plastic clip that holds the back in place before use. We had this issue all the time, especially with little kids that would jump when we would pierce because we would release to minimize pulling which could damage the ear. Just get your finger nail in or a small flat head screw driver to pull up the plastic tab and release the earring back.
Overall this is a great tool to use if you are looking to pierce ears at home and want a reliable, easy to use piercing gun that will last you a life time.
