I just started making Kombucha and I needed a ph tester. This came highly recommended from other makers. I purchased this tester and it is well worth the money. I used the solutions enclosed in the package to calibrate the tester. The instruction we not very clear on how to do this so if I had any complaint about the product it would be that. I've used it well over a month and it is working great... even though I've left it on overnight a couple of times. I would recommend this product to anyone that needed an accurate ph reading of anything they are making.

I've had this over a year and been happy with it. It's easy to use. It indicated the correct PH for 4.0 and 7.0 calibration solutions out of the box and has never needed a calibration adjustment. The only problem has been that some of the bars in the least significant digit went blank after I splashed a few drops of water on the display. The least significant digit usually dithers enough that I can figure out what it's telling me so I can still use it. I think the instructions said not to get it wet above the immersion line (I can't find them now) but I would have expected an instrument intended to be used around water to be at least a little water resistant.
