I admit I was doubtful making the purchase, but this thing works better than I hoped.
Took maybe 10 minutes to read the instructions and place in an alcove where I'd been unable to keep raccoons, possums, and rats away. Haven't seen one or their dropping since.

We just moved to our new home and found we have 2x the amount of frogs than the other home, due to all the moisture from the golf course. We could see where they would try to hang onto the glass and all over the front courtyard. I started to research a humane way to deter these pesky but cute tree frogs. I came across the Yard Sentinel and since the 1st night it went out to the courtyard.......NO FROGS!!!!!!!!! Hope it works on the love bugs we will see but what a great product, sometimes you purchase things like this and almost half expect them not to work, happy to say in this case ........It Works

I set this outside by my birdbath several weeks ago and so far it has det
erred the raccoon from dirtying my fountain. I set it up on a disposable plastic container to get it up off the ground so I can use it at. ground level. I have it set for night time only and I'm using the batteries, so far so good. It's also very sensitive, as I have checked it myself. . by approaching from different angles and it catches me every time. I wanted to put in an update as I've really proved that this unit is working now. We just had our house painted and I had to take the yard Sentinel down within 24 hours the raccoon was back and had dirtied my fountain. This thing is really working for me

Not thrilled with this product. I bought it to replace an old ultra sound device that had kept mice out of the garage. With this one on (supposedly continuously, but it seems to be stuck on "motion detector"), mice have run right by me into the garage! When in audible mode, the sound is so hideous I can't be around it (a screeching sound). So it's a decent "human repellent".
Also, you have to take the back off to change settings, and it's impossible to put it back on. The raised plastic edge is supposed to grab on to the back panel, but it is too stiff to do so. Very frustrating! Why didn't they just use screws? I have to tape mine together.

Does not repell squirrels or cats

Unfortunately it did not stop squirrels coming to my garden. I tested it inside the house with my cats and the cats walked right up to sniffle it. This was a warning to us. I put the device in my garden pointing to the direction where the squirrels feast on. I had the sound turned off the first day. Then turned on the sound the second day since it didn't stop the squirrels. They ate the zucchini right next to this device. Obviously it doesn't work on squirrels and cats. Very disappointed. I'm returning it.
