Basically a piece of cloth

Can't believe I paid $20+ for what basically is a rectangular piece of blanket for my pretty tent to sit on. This should have already been in included with the tent, but whatever. On the plus side its extremely light- everyone seems to care so much about weight. Also its fits the tent extremely well considering it is basically a part of the tent that, for some marketing reason, had to be sold separately.

I'm using this footprint w/ the Mountainsmith Equinox 4 person tent (which is listed as having the same dimensions as the Genesee). The footprint matches up well w/ the tent (just a little bit smaller than the base of the tent as it should be).

Worked great the first time, so I'm sure it will be reliable over time. I got a little bit of rain on my most recent camping trip, and the floor of my tent was clean and dry due to the protective layer of the tent floor. It is worth the extra money to get a tent floor for any tent that has one made for the tent.

It's the same as any other footprint but the oneni received was way to small for the tent. It was atleast 6" smaller than the tent itself. Inknkw they are supposed to be slightly smaller. The one on my kelty grand Mesa is only about 1-2" smaller than the floor is. Plus the holes on the straps St the end are not wide enough and don't allow the tent to stretch out as far as it is supposed to. Good thing I had a backup tarp with me I took the footprint out so I can exchange for o e that hopefully fits mine since I think inmay have received the wrong one and used a tarp and rolled the sides up and just under the tent and worked great.
