I usually buy a small for my 10lb Silky Terrier (she looks just like the picture) which is why I purchased this dress. The sizing guide suggests a length of 12" for a size small. However the sizing is so far off, it's more like an X Small - It fits barely under her forearms, leaving more than an inch opening where the Velcro will not close. It's just too small for her. As far as the quality of the item, it sewn well - the colors are true to the picture. I would return it but it would probably cost more to return than what I paid for.
