As a rugby player, this game does have all the components of the real game, however, it is so hard to play on a video game console. First of all there are so many controls you have to know, and secondly, if the other team has the ball, it is so hard to tackle the person with the ball to regain possession. I usually just try to let my team do the tackling and if they miss i just try my best to get the fullback in there. Rugby is so fast paced in real life that it is so hard to really enjoy the game virtually. Get where I'm coming from? If you can't handle fast paced video games and you don't know anything about rugby, I wouldn't get the game. But if you do know how to play rugby and can play fast paced games with a ton of rules and controls then go for it. This is the best rugby game out there but like I said, crazy controls and I lose track of the ball a lot.

This game is great. With rugby games coming out every few years you are kind of stuck with what you got but this one is pretty good. Both set and open play seem very fluid and natural, almost like watching an actual game. I do have a couple of cons though. Impossible to block kicks no matter how hard i try even when standing right in front of the tee. Also would have liked to be able to do quick lineouts and be able tap the ball across the line on 22m drops instead of having to kick it deep. That said I love playing this game with my nephew who is starting to play rugby for his high school club and would definitely buy this again.

A few bugs but nothing too bad. A bit repetitive to play.
The impact of forwards is unfortunately absent, the only way to score is basically to pass the ball to the outside back as fast as possible.
Decent enough for a little while.
