perfect for our super furry monster.

We purchased this after we added a wheaten terrier to our pack. He has so much hair that we were going through a 20 dollar bottle of shampoo from the pet store for every bath. This stuff is awesome and I wish I'd found it year ago. It cleans better than that the consumer stuff at the pet store, but it seems gentle on both our pups, including our older one who has eczema issues. IT's way more affordable too. We mix it up in a big squeeze bottle from the restaurant supply store, and about 1/2 a bottle gets the Wheaten boy clean. The equates to maybe 1/4 cup of the concentrated shampoo, which means we're getting a lot more baths for our dollar, and they're better. When I first opened this I thought it smelled straight up nasty, and thought i had maybe wasted some money. But we tried it out, and once the bath is over, it leaves the pups smelling so fresh and clean, and it isn't overpowering, but it keeps them smelling fresh for literally weeks. This stuff is great.
It's alright though it seems difficult to get a good lather when washing my dog

It's alright though it seems difficult to get a good lather when washing my dog. My experience has been that the good smell lasts only 3 or 4 days, not weeks like other people claim. I'm a new dog owner though and I really don't like a smelly dog so I may be more sensitive to it.
I've seen the price of this fluctuate by as much as $15 so I will say that I don't believe it is worth it when it costs a lot, but will probably buy it again when it's at the low sale price.

Very Strong Perfume Smell

While I will agree the scent lasts a long time I personally cannot stand the smell. It has a VERY strong perfume smell. It lathers well and seemed to clean my dog as well as any other but it reminds me of an older woman's perfume and one in which she applied WAY to much. I have donated it to my local shelter although I may not be able to frequent it as much until a few weeks after they have used the entire bottle. Yes, because the scent does last! I just wish it wouldn't. If you are looking for a shampoo that won't (possibly) trigger your allergies choose another. If you like a strong perfume scent this is definitely one to try! This is, of course, only my opinion and everyone's sense of smell is different. If only there was a scratch-and-sniff button on our phones.
Good for our dog.

We like this shampoo. I would say not to dilute as advised which is 8:1. It is very watery and doesn't work well at this dilution. The scent is not too strong and lasts about two weeks on my dogs long curly coat. Breaks down dirt very well.
Very thick so doesn't slide off pet too easily. Has a great smell and I think it ...

Very thick so doesn't slide off pet too easily. Has a great smell and I think it will last a while for our 2 dogs. I moved away from shampoos with pesticides in them after working in the pest control industry for years, doesn't make sense to apply a product to a dogs skin that requires the human to wear gloves!
