Works Great!

Our Mastiff recently injured his back and I ordered this to help me and my wife get him to his vet appointments. Our dog isn't thrilled about it but it sure helps save our backs. Arrived in a timely manner and was easy to put together even without instructions. A two year old could put this together in twenty minutes, I did it in five.

It arrived very quickly and was put to use shortly after. The clips on the straps for pulling it are weak and one broke while using it.It works well just to carry it and it is light so does not add much to the load.
A real help in a time of need.

The stretcher has proven invaluable. We are very happy with this trolley. It helped us transport a 100 lb. dog after surgery for 2 torn ACL's. However, I must alert you to the fact that we did not get the proper hardware with it, and the instructions were minimal and not particularly helpful. Luckily, we have a crafty neighbor who was able to provide what was required to assemble the trolley and read between the lines on the instructions.
Assembly Suggestions

I ordered this stretcher to assist with a mobile vet service. I found the materials very heavy-duty but, as many have noted, the instructions and precision of machining are lacking. Here are a few things I found helpful when assembling:
1) The holes for the two halves do not match exactly nor do the two pipes slide easily together. I tapped it against a hard floor to get them close and then used a handheld screw driver to drive the screws home. Doesn't require a lot of strength, just firm downward pressure when twisting.
2) Wheel attachment: all washers I received are large size and the cotter pin is a little difficult to insert in very small holes as it is a little too long and cannot lay flat. To ease feeding the pin through the second hole, I first inserted 1/4 of pin into the first hole then gently bent both pin ends slightly upward. Then the pin can feed into the second hole easily. I also bent the pin ends out after insertion to prevent it working its way out.
3) Straps: these seem loose and do not tighten down very far. I may take off the buckets and replace with velco.

It was initially hard to put together as the holes drilled into the metal frames for the scews had spurs on the inside of the pipe. I had to use a skinny metal file to remove them.
Then, the packaging said to use 2 large and two smallerwashers, included, to install the wheels. There were 4 large washers only. BUT by bending the loop end of the cotter pins a little, I was able to get them on.
This is an incredibly sturdy device and will save my back when I eventually and unfortunately have to use it on my Old English Sheepdog.
When the time comes, it will be easy to get him to the car with this device, but will take both me and my husband to lift it into the car.
I'm so grateful I found this device.
Btw, I called customer service about the washers and she was absolutely great!
I highly recommend this company and product.
It would help a lot if the company would produce a demo video on how to put it together and also how to best place the animal in it.
