It has a strong aroma, but covers the garbage can smell. I wouldn't use anyplace as an air freshener, just as a cover-up. I think one of the canisters was partially opened, because the box was heavily scented.

Strong deodorant. Not the most pleasant aroma, but it does the job on smelly trash cans. The packaging needs improvement. They come stacked up in a box. They really need to be enclosed in a plastic bag to contain the aroma and prolong their storage.
