@nearly 90 bucks, it's overpriced. Dimmer not very useful, as max output usually needed for binocular microscope at most magnifications. Turning off quadrants is only marginally useful, as it makes light dimmer and doesn't create much off axis light angle. Basic Chinese construction quality. If I were to buy again, I'd either invest in a quality fiber optic light, or buy a much cheaper, basic ring light.
Works well, one section died with light use after <2 years.

Works well with my SM-3TZ, provides more than enough light when combined with a white working surface and my 3 x T6 workbench lamp. Purchased less than two years ago however and it has seen very light use, and one of the LED sections no longer works. I have a warranty service request pending, I'll report back with updated results.
An excelent stereoscope light for the amateur naturalist.

Excellent light coverage of the small and medium sized beetles I work with. It is equal to the much higher cost ring lights in institutional stereo setups I have worked with in the past.
