used one on my paintball mask and after about 4 times out over a span of 1yr, the adhesive started coming off. Not that reliable.

Contour should consider coming up with more options for sticky pads.
Rotates n locks, very adjustable.

Secures to helmet using adhesive tape. There is a locking mechanism once you've found your perfect rotation. Secure lock, easy to unlock and adjust if needed. The Contour camera slides onto mount using it's rails, although it's snug now my concern is over time the plastic will wear and camera could fall off. A small Allen head locking screw would add confidence the camera won't fall off. Again, the camera fits snug now my concern is after removing numerous times. My helmet won't lock inside my side bags with Camera attached. I remove it because I don't want it stolen.
Same as unit supplied with camera.

Using this on a motorcycle helmet. Fits the camera well and locks in place fine. No wobble noticed in the video, of course my head/neck dampens the forces involved. I use a cord as back up, in case the mount let go, but don't expect any issues. Seems to be very solid. Would definitely recommend using the camera view before final mounting fore/aft on a helmet, if available on your model, to get the view you want.
Actually made for helmets, not flat surfaces.

Contrary to the description, these are slightly concave, so that they fit nicely on helmets. For a flat surface it would probably still work, but that's not really what these were designed for. So, -1 for a poor description.

It is nice that if I fall, the mount will break so that the camera can stay intact.
I have done that twice so far, because that is how good I am (not) at mountain biking.

But it would be really great if they could be re-assembled after they pop apart. None of the parts actually broke, so that doesn't seem like a very tall order. And it would save me the trouble of cutting off the old mount and gluing in a new one each time. I won't dock a star for that, because it's really just a wish, not a defect.
Great mount

I bought this mount for my Helmet (Smith Optics Vantage Adult Ski Snowmobile Helmet, Acid W3, Medium.) I put the mount on top. You need to let the tap to sit over night for great adhesion. The mount is great and easily adjustable for rotation. I had another one that I mounted on the side of a different helmet and worked great. My son now has it doing snowboarding and it is still attached to his helmet despite his numerous falls.
I would recommend this product.
