Exactly what I expected

I have never purchased a tree or plant online, but after pricing these at the local garden center I decided it was worth a try. Mine just arrived and I am pleased with the diminutive size, as I wanted it for a container plant for a few years. It has several small branches on the graft and plenty of teeny tiny leaves! Looks very healthy. If it makes it I will consider it money well spent!

Ok so I am tardy with this review but wanted to post anyway. I received my tree (2 year graft) exactly one year ago. Not sure what I expected but I did know that for 2X.XX$ (After shipping) I was not getting the tree in the picture, here's a tip (for those who were disappointed); read the full description. I have posted 2 pictures, the one in the container is the tree I am reviewing, the picture is one year after arrival. The second picture is the tree I bought from local nursery (priced at $245.00). If you ask me the tree I ordered for 10% of the price was by far the greater bargain. My tree is very healthy and beautiful, as for the graft, someone mentioned was ugly, hey you knew it was a grafted tree right? I mean for the price give it some time to mature and begin to weep and you will not see the graft. I don't understand people writing bad reviews based fully on their own misunderstanding of what they are ordering. This product was an exceptional product for the price paid. I would love to order one of EVERY variety, just afraid it would take away from the specialness of this one + the price went up a little since I bought mine, and the proper container cost me 5X what the tree cost. I'm just gonna work on some smaller plants for the container to accent my little tree. Again all I can say is I'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY with my "Red Dragon Weeping Lace Leaf Maple" purchased Japanese Maples & Evergreens.
Stop expecting something for nothing and you will be too.

Three Year Update

Our one and only mail order maple! We adore this little tree and can't wait to plant it on our newly purchased acreage! Bought in 2015, first picture is May 2017 and last 3 pictures are May 2018. This beauty does best in full sunshine, watered only with natural rain and when it's really hot out. Loses its leaves for the winter, grows back a deep red and changes to green before falling off again. Very sturdy and flows in the breeze nicely. Looking forward to watching it grow for many more years!
IT’S A GRAFT. NOT A FULL TREE

Just wanted to put that title up there for people that are expecting a 2 year tree for under $2k. The graft was beautifully executed, packaging was great, and root system looked very healthy. No complaints from me. I'll check back in a couple years and let you know how's it goes!
