This just arrived today and it was easy to assemble in 20 minutes. It might be a bit small for a dining table but I'm using it in a library/study area so it is perfect. It is the right size for four chairs and it will be perfect for studying, playing games, etc. The wood is solid and strong; the assembly is sturdy. The top surface has a beautiful finish with a marked wood grain. The color is closer to a dark mahogany than espresso. The legs are probably a different species of wood so their color is very slightly different. I would call them dark walnut. I did a lot of online shopping to find the best table for my purpose and finally settled on this one. I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

I love the new table. Fits into my decor perfectly. I originally found the same table cheaper at a store but had no way to get it home (its bigger than you think) and that's why I ordered online and received free shipping with my awesome Prime Membership. It is easy to put together. One of the holes in the table top did not have any threads for the bolt to catch onto but since there were 5 additional bolts, I'm not going to worry about it. Also there are straps on the bottom of the table top used to hold packing. If you just try to pull the strapping off, the staples partially come out and have to be removed so no one gets cut by them. I love the color, the shape and the size. Very happy with my purchase.

Please note, I just assembled this table today and have not had a chance to see how it handles wear and tear, but it survived shipping in excellent condition which may be an indication of how well it stands up to regular use.
It was easy to assemble.
The legs are a little more cherry color than the table top (the table top is more espresso, and the legs slightly cherry) - but you don't really notice at all.
Super sturdy.
For the rug under the table, I would recommend going with a 7 foot round rug so that when the chairs are pulled out, they are still on the rug. The chairs fit perfectly on the rug when pushed in all the way as shown in the images.

I never write reviews but I had to here, because I just love this table. I was ready to spend $1,600 on a similar table, but the reviews for this one were too good, so I had to try it out. I can confirm that the table is beautiful. It is solid, sturdy, and looks like I spent a thousand more than I really did ($300). Some of the earlier reviews said that the stain had a reddish sheen -- it does not, it's a beautiful espresso brown. Some reviews said that the underside was not stained -- but it is. It is just a quality product all around. I am so happy with this purchase!
