Heavy & good quality, but you will need to trim

4x5 ft diamond plate rubber mat.
Mat is heavy & good quality (does have a strong rubber smell, but in my application [outside], it doesn't matter). My application is for a short bed pickup bed mat (so needed to custom cut - wheel wells & such). Ended up working great ($40 bucks versus $100-plus for a custom truck mat - every bit as good, if not better). My only issue (and why 4 vs 5 stars), is that the ends are not cut square. They cut this off a large roll (so side to side is uniform [and actually about 48.5" wide], but ends are not cut square). I'd also note they do give you a few extra inches - my piece was 63 inches long, vs 60) - but you will need to trim square if you want it to look good. The heavy rubber is a chore to cut, but with care, a good exacto knife, & a square you can make it plum (and still have an inch or two to play with).

I bought this product to line the garage floor.
The biggest gripe I have: the rolls are cut to highly variable lengths, more than 6 inches difference between the shortest and longest roll. The edges were also not always cut exactly straight on about 25% of the rolls, with a slight zig-zag effect on the long side. This requires me to trim off the longer pieces and tape over the gaps caused by the poorly cut sides. Taping the mats to each other incidentally helps prevent shifting.
The odor problem is not that big of a deal. I left them outdoors, unrolled, for about 2 months. There is still a bit of a rubber odor, which is not a problem for a garage.
The quality and durability is reasonable otherwise. Compared to other, thinner materials or heavier, more expensive small square materials available at "brick and mortar" stores, this is a reasonable compromise for covering large spaces (bought 11 rolls of 4' x 12')
I personally do not like the shiny surface, could do with a more "matte" finish.

Nice heavy duty rubber, looks like it will last. Shipping was quick but not packaged very well as the plastic it was in had opened during shipping, knowing how heavy this product is they should have taken more care in sealing the ends.
The rubber smell is obtrusive! I bought this to line the bed of the cargo area of our brand new SUV. The material cut very easy to fit but it immediately started to take over the new car smell. I figured I would just leave it out in the garage for a while till the smell dissipated. I went out in the garage a few hours later and the entire garage smelled like a tire factory! The smell was even on my hands after handling it. So then I put it outside, went out this morning and as I got to within 5 feet of it I was hit by the rubber smell. I hope keeping it outside for a few days will solve the problem but as it is now, there is no way I can keep this stuff in a closed area.

This mat was exactly what I wanted. Right thickness, felt very durable, good length and width at a good price. Diamond plate. BUT, there were a few issues that made me return it.
1. Item was heavily dirt stained upon receipt. I tried to scrub it off with water and some light cleaner but it was going to take detergent and a heavy scrubbing.
2. The packing material was soaked on delivery. The cardboard center tube was soggy wet and deteriorated.
3. Item was folded around a rectangular cardboard center piece (the piece that was wet), not rolled, so it had heavy creases in it and a lip on each end that have shown no signs of flattening out after three weeks of laying flat.
4. Item smells bad. After three weeks I can still smell it when I open the door to my two car garage. I bought this to line the floor in the back of a cargo van. I can't use it for that. The odor would be unbearable in the small enclosed space.
Used in a large open space and if properly packaged this probably would have been okay to keep. But for my needs and for the poor packaging

I mean I bought 2x of them, and sure they cover the area but the plastisizer they use on this is diesel or diesel based, these things reek of diesel fuel and now my whole garage smells like their cheap-ass overseas plastisizer . I think Rubber cal should either stop buying these mats from overseas (they are likley not made in USA) or just simply use a better plastisizer that won't leave such a stinky gas-diesel smell.
