Nice! The first thing I noticed this car was missing.
Jacob Jerrell•October 11, 2017
The original package was missing the long bolt that holds the outer shell to the original console in the car. I emailed the seller, and they sent me a new bolt package. That was my only complaint, and it's fixed now. Great product!
I wish Boomerang still made the Zeta(?) style armrests that you could lift out of the way, but this one hasn't really been in my way yet. This one might cause an issue if you have the manual xB depending on how you grip the shifter

I just got my 2005 Scion XB. The first thing that I was aware of is that this did not have a center console like my 06 had. I started poking around trying to find one online that did not cost an arm and a leg. This was the third one that I came across and it had mostly good reviews. I ha e to admit that when I first opened the box and took it out, I was not too impressed with the quality of the plastic that was used to make it. I decided to try it anyway. The instructions were easy to follow and it was a pretty straight forward/Simple installation. When I removed the screw that is located behind the emergency Brake I felt as though I would try to install this without using the two stabilizers that came with the console. As it turned out, the first piece that the 3" screw goes into got dead on. I then simply screwed in the screw that comes with a washer and then put the top piece on. Then screwed in the 4 tiny screws that fasten that piece to the first one with thelarger screw and I was done. I tested it out and it is definitely going to serve it's purpose as far as an arm rest at a good height to make driving much more comfortable. Don't get me wrong. It is not as though this piece doesn't have a little play, it does. "Very little " And I'm sure if I put those stabilizers in " which I maystern just to see if there is a difference that they are sure to end or greatly limit any at. I for sure am going to put a very thin rubber washer on to ly over the plastic just to soften up the pressure a bit. I should say that there is also the benefit of a place to store my wallet and some papers. I feel that I got what I was looking for and it was worth the price...
These guys were also nice enough to ship it out pretty quickly though I picked the wrong shipping speed. That was cool😀 Thanks people ✌

Better than the factory nothing

I marked this down for 2 reasons. First, the stabilizers don't go flush onto the base, so the factory console is lifted slightly up in the back. It's also difficult to tell exactly where the stabilizers should sit, it took me about 10 minutes to figure it out.
Second, the "cd holder". It's dumb. Not that I wanted to hold CD's in 2016, but if you do, the only way to carry CD's in this is to take them out of the case and just have them inside scratching each other. You could remove it by cutting it, but the interior isn't useful for much storage either way.
I'm 5'9, and this is barely tall enough to use for me. I got it solely to be an armrest, but I'll throw the insurance and registration in there I guess.

Installation wasn't as easy as many reviewers said
Big Blue•October 3, 2016
Installation wasn't as easy as many reviewers said. Pulling the rug around the bottom stabilizers gave me fits, and I ended up cutting the carpet a little to get them under the carpet. It's not real sturdy, but we most likely won't be leaning on it with all our weight.
Best add-on purchase for my Scion yet.

Shortly after I bought my 2006 Scion xB, I bought the 'official' Toyota Scion armrest. It didn't have any storage, and it was a black material that originally matched the black/dark gray interior of the car, but after years of wear, it had faded to a nasty gray color. I even tried removing the 'stretch-fit' cover and dying it (remember Rit dye?) Didn't even touch it. So I shopped around and settled on this little gem. I must say it's a gorgeous piece of equipment. The storage under the magnet-catch cover isn't massive, but it's better than the nothing storage in the original; it also feels much more stable than the other one. The black leatherette cover on the padded armrest looks great and I expect it to last a long time. A couple of notes: The 36-CD holder that supposedly fits neatly into the storage bin was missing, but I would have tossed it anyway. The other thing to note is that, as many other reviewers mentioned, the armrest is far less stable if you whimp out and don't install the two stabilizers. The instructions totally suck when it comes to that part of the installation, and it's not intuitive at all, but I did find an absolutely awesome photo tutorial posted by someone named Mikochu on the ScionLife website. Follow his/her really sweet instructions and it'll be a piece of cake, and I highly recommend this armrest. I wasn't permitted to post the link here, but web search for 'ScionLife Boomerang Armrest' and you'll find the step-by-step photo instructions there.
