Latch mechanism is flimsy and will break with minimal use.

I spent over 20 dollars for a storage container that didn't even last 5 months. The clasp is held onto the unit by two tiny plastic tabs and once these wear out, the unit cannot be used. This product was used in a home office and not used to transport heavy paperwork. There is no reason at all that it should have a catastrophic failure. Now it is just one more piece of plastic to recycle.
Not meant for folders with tabs

As a file box, it does not hold files with tabs. When the tabs are on, the lid will not close properly. And in order to fit the most folders, I took off the slide adjusters. The mini storage on top is smaller than expected. The lid for the top is not very secure. Overall, this product is not durable and not worth the money.
The lid broke after just 5 times of usage!

I have had this box for a few months but I have only used it like 5 times since I only use it for keeping important files.
Yesterday, I wanted to add a few papers to my files and while I was trying to open it, the plastic lid broke from the axes and this box is now useless.
I didn't take a pic, but I marked the broken piece on one of the product images.
Is there a way you can send me a replacement for the lid?

This file box works fine for me. I've seen some complaints, but I just needed something to store the documents from the sale of a few houses so that I always know where to find them. It's perfect for that. I keep it in a closet and feel good knowing that I'm better organized and I didn't have to deal with an office supply store.

I ordered the box online, but despite good packaging it's broken. The lid snaps right off at the hinge, so when I picked it up the whole thing dropped, breaking the main latch. I'm sure it's fine if nothing is broken when you receive it, but if one tiny cheap part on this lid breaks, the whole thing is gone. Breaks easy.
