The picture is misleading. It doesn't cover the neck . I'm a professional fishing guide and this is no different than other buffs aside from the fact that it's longer. It still bunches up around the neck and leaves neck exposed. Was hoping I wasn't going to have to spend the money on Aftco bit appears it's the only one that drapes over neck and is ventilated.

The mask is OK but I do have a few complaints:
1. As mentioned in another review the fabric is slick and won't stick to my hair . The part of the mask at the back of the head will slip down if it is higher than the part of the mask at the face. If the face and back of the head parts of the mask are horizontally even, you may have some sun exposure on the ear (see annotated picture) which is true in my case.
2. You will notice that the picture shows that is being wore with a shirt that has a collar. There is some neck and frontal skin exposure to the sun if you wear a shirt without a collar. The mask does not bell out at the bottom to better cover the bottom of the neck area. The mask just bunches there.
3. I feel it is overpriced for a simple tube shape mask with no contours.

I own 6 of these in different sizes and colors in case one gets dirty on a weekend trip or someone wants to borrow one. I keep a couple in each boat and a couple in my truck so I should always have one. The texture of this fabric is by far the best of any I have tried. You can breath easy through these, not hot at all , and they still block the wind some when it's cold.

I purchased this fishing mask as a companion piece to the Aqua Design Men's Fishing Shirt (see separate review). It was a practical addition that I put to good use on its first outing during an offshore fishing trip in Costa Rica. It served its purpose by protecting my neck, ears and face while not having to slather myself with sunscreen. I deducted one star for the slight mismatch in pattern and color from the shirt by the same vendor. I also wish that the fabric were a bit stretchier. It seems like a different material than the shirt. I think the shirt material would have worked with the same pattern, matched better and provided a bit more stretch.
