Very flimsy
Fun gizmo and works great! Not for the impatient, assembly is part of the challenge.

First of all, it's not quite as difficult as some of the reviews, but it was a challenge! It took a couple of hours. I recommend you read and analyze the included documentation carefully. It's very complete but not very intuitive. Look for notes on some of the parts that look identical but have different part numbers. There are slight but important differences that are "usually" noted in red. If you look long enough, it will become apparent. Take your time and you'll have fun. It's not designed to work right out of the box.. It needs tweaking to get it flawless. Just a couple of hints... for the track tubing, if I had to do it over again, I would have added 3-4 mm to each specified measurement. The documents have an accurate length template for each track section but there are gaps. The device is pretty forgiving though. Also mine came with a few extra pieces, these are spare parts. There was one extra helix section that I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't fit before I realize it was an extra part. Pay special attention to items that look the same but have different part identifiers. There are slight but important differences that will make the difference between a thing that works to breaks when you try to assemble. Mose of these are marked in red in the docs. Have fun!

They sent me a stupid build-it-yourself catapult - REALLY? Not even close to what I was waiting months for - since Christmas - Bah Humbug
Horrible execution.

It took my engineer brother 3+ hrs to put the thing together. The directions do not line up with real space dimensions and once you cut all the pieces (be sure you have a mm ruler handy) and finally put it all together it does not run well. You have to be constantly putting the ball back in the run and making sure it gets released from the elevator. All in all a waste of $30
