I love the aeropress SO MUCH. I love the quality of the coffee shot it produces every morning, the meditative pleasure of the coffee-making ritual it encourges, the low-tech reliability and cost effectiveness of the equipment and how easy and inexpensive it is to get filters and replacement rings. I've had my press for over five years now, and I just gave my college age son his own press to take back to school with him, while I pack mine up to live abroad for six months. This is a beautifully simple invention!

after trying several knockoff brands i will now only use these filters! the others either left a bad taste or took FOREVER to drip through. (i use my Aeropress as a "drip machine", i do not actually use the Aeropress plunger.)
so maybe other brands work well enough if the plunger is used. but for drip method, these are the only brand i tried that allows the coffee to pass through before the water gets too cold to dissolve the sugar properly.
