My dog loves this thing and will nose it to get me to brush her with it. It doesn't really suck up the hair that well, but it does a good job of brushing her and she likes it.

This works great for what I bought it for-- as a small hand vac for cleaning pet hair off of furniture. It's small, light, runs on AA batteries, and works fine for this purpose. As to the stated purpose of brushing pet hair directly from the pet, you would do much better to use a grooming glove or a plain old brush.

I saw a review of this product on my local news (Jesse Jones, King 5 News). His test did not work on the dogs, but it worked on the groomers clothes. I have two large dogs and spend a lot of time with rollers to remove their fur from my dark clothes. No matter how much I brush them, they always leave fur on my clothes when they get too close (like a friendly greeting when I get home). I decided to give it a try.

Yeah! Jesse was right! This works great to remove the pet fur from my pants and jackets. A quiet vacuum pulls the hair off without any effort. It looks like a large fabric lint/pill remover, but is a vacuum that glides over my clothes, pulling all of their fur along the way.

I would not use this on my dogs or cats (the cats ran at the sound of the vacuum). The review from Jesse Jones determined that it would only remove the top layer of dogs fur. I use a furminator (purchased on amazon) to get at their undercoat - which is the only way to really brush them.

I liked this product, but I just could not get my cat to use it because he is really not used to be domesticated. We adopted him from our backyard as a ferrel cat and now that he is neutered and declawed, he wants me to start taking him for walks and brush his coat with a wire brush! He did not like the noise it makes, so it was totally up to him to decide on this product, not me! Otherwise, a great product!

For the price, it's a great alternative to trying to vacuuming my cats. They both shed A LOT. This item is noisy but it took about a minute for one of my cats to let me use it on her. I brushed her with it first, then turned it on and let her see it then resumed brushing her. It can use an AC cord but one is not included which is ok because using it with batteries is better. It will take a little longer for the other cat but overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
