Was wondering why this particular colour combo (purple) costs about half the price of the others. Thought it was because it's the smaller size. Turns out one was defective when it arrived. It has a mottled pattern at the top half, clearly not the same smooth uniform look as the other piece in the set. Like another reviewer, it was stuck and wouldn't grind anything. The wood top was also not aligned flat. After fiddling with it for half hour and feeling like I had nothing to lose, I simply forcefully twisted the grinder and it worked! The faulty grinder is now working. Can't do anything about the mottled colour though. Doesn't come off when washed. If a defective item is going to be sold at a much cheaper price, then it should be reflected somwhere in the description as such.
A great present for people who have everything.

I hesitated to spend so much on a pair of salt and pepper grinders, but since returns are easy, I tried them. They are terrific. I leave them out on our side board or table and friends almost always notice them, sometimes thinking they are art pieces. They worked beautifully, pull apart with ease to fill and best of all they do not leave grants of pepper or salt behind them. The only caveat I have is that you must use "coarse salt"; kosher salt is too small and can fall through the grinder. A great present for people who have everything.

I'm so glad I was able to snag these while they were available in yellow! I LOVE these grinders and cannot rave about them enough. The material is soft but provides great grip. I love that there isn't a little mess left on the table after each use. The coarse adjustment works great. And just the simple minimalistic design looks phenomenal on my stone slab table. They are on the pricey side, but I think they're worth it. One is just slightly darker than the other, so it's easy to know if you're grabbing the pepper or the salt. The colors are muted and warm and just so lovely to look at. Well done, MENU.

I enjoy cooking and practical gadgets fill my kitchen. I love these grinders. They have a nice feel--a relatively non-slip finish, are easy to use and they are pretty attractive looking. They are little works of art.

I bought this set in nude/pink. As much as I love the design, after a few months of use, the mechanism on both grinders became very screachy. Originally loved the velvety soft texture but they both have absorbed oils from cooking and use overtime and discolored. I would regularly wipe them clean after each use, but they absorb stains too quickly.
