A bit smaller than I was expecting, but that's great, because it allows me to get into tighter joints. It's a great tool with a lot of uses.

Smaller than expected but a solid value

This "little" plane it sturdy and sharp. The construction is solid but the plane is very small compared to what I was expecting. I have no doubt that the size was explained in the description but I never noticed it. I was looking for the much larger model with the appropriately sized chisel made for standard dado grooves of the 3/4 inch range.
I didn't send it back due to the fact that I WILL eventually need it for dados in the 3/8" range or for rabbits. The chisel is quite sharp and as I said, the construction is such that the tool will last indefinitely.
I recommend this tool but now I need to find the adult model................
