C&D of course has been around forever and the formula hasn't changed much. Aimed more at the high end car enthusiast interested in what's new with a few car interest stories thrown in every month. The average reader will be lucky to afford one of the cars featured once every several years but hey, its fun to dream. I'd never pay the cover price, but I'll renew at dirt-cheap prices when available as its good for killing a little time some evening or in the "reading room."

Not bad, too many off base comparisons. Would prefer new vehicles be cop area with similar packages that people would actually purchase. Feels like the tests are to conformed to the engineer heads.....

I used to love Car and Driver. Back in the 80's and 90's it was great. Started going downhill in the 2000's. Hasn't been the same since Brock Yates left the publication. I cancelled for several years, then just recently decided to try it again. Thankfully the 6 month trial subscription was cheap, because the magazine is awful. The cars are uninteresting, the writing is unreadable, the humor is unfunny, and the editorials are irrelevant. Other than that it's okay.

I have been a life time reader of Car and Driver.
I even had a subscription in prison .

No other magazine has the level of wit and intelligence that can put me behind the wheel with words.

In depth reviews. Testing .of everything from econo box cars to the most expensive and rare exotics.
