Really love this desk. Perfect for my kindergardener. You will nee a tall kids chair.

This is a great desk. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to assemble it with just a little help from my son...he held the legs steady while I screwed in the bolts.

Great heavy duty desk. They are a little difficult to assemble, but don't let that discourage you from buying, they are great desk for the kids!

I am on a third replacement (thank goodness for Amazon's excellent customer service!). The first one had a chunk of the laminate surface chipped off. The second one had a deep gouge across the top. The third one looks like it was the factory worker's first ever assembly. It has one screw just hanging out of it and part of the metal box was bent just so the second screw could fit in. That being said, I ordered a pair of desks and the first one I got was not damaged and seems to be sturdy.
About size, though, these don't work as well for little kids as I thought they would. They are adjustable to a fairly low height. My preschooler can stand up at it and work just fine. However, the book box is really deep, like perfect for a high school age kid or an adult even. I didn't think about the distance from my kids' thighs to armpits being too short for such a deep book box. These would really be best for older, taller kids, like middle school and up.
