It's a whole lot more compact than what I'm used ...
Amazon Customer•August 15, 2017
It's a whole lot more compact than what I'm used to, and for me, that means I can look through the scope without getting up from the sitting or prone positions.
This a great product, I'm not a mechanical engineer but in my humble opinion, a couple of changes would make this a perfect prod

The main pole and extension have a mish mash of thread sizes, you can only connect the extension to one end, making the camera/scope mount always on the top. I wanted to keep the scope mount lower and put the extension on top of that so I could put my Kestrel Ballistic wind meter on top, currently it's on a separate tripod. Provide end caps for all ends, if you mount the camera/scope upside down there is no cap for the hole which will collect debris

Great Prone Shooting Stand!
Yankee Doodle•April 17, 2017
I do competitive shooting from the prone position and have been looking for a more economical scope stand for my new spotting scope. Most of the formal stands for sale are excellent and very expensive, I only need a stand that I can use in the prone position, but a very stable one. I am very pleased with the quality of this stand for the price, I had to add a adjustable tripod head but those are on this site in many different prices, generally the 30-40 dollar range will provide the quality needed for a stable head, like another reviewer posted in his pictures, I inverted the head so the scope is low and near the legs so I can just roll my head without leaving my shooting position, I did set the unit up in the full vertical position and added the extension poll. It is sturdy enough to hold my 80mm 3+ pound spotting scope in the full upright position, I will buy one more extension so I can use this stand in the sitting position to score targets. bottom line, if you need a good F-class stand and don't want to spend hundreds, this is a good value for the money, it is imported but well built and finished. Good job Opticron
Too Short.

Purchased as a spotting scope mount for CMP matches. Extension rod not long enough. Purchased additional rods but did not fit perfectly. Do not recommend this product.
Great height for prone
Amazon Customer•August 14, 2016
Very sturdy, heavy-duty stand. I mounted my Redfield scope on it and it doesn't tip. I shoot prone rifle and the height is perfect and the bipod design keeps the legs out of my way, compared to a tripod. I am getting a Dolica ball head attachment in order to have a little more adjustment options, but with a straight scope, it is still okay as it ships. I haven't tried it on the bench yet, but I would guess the height will work well for that also.
