Great Cot

I bought this cot for my husband and he loves it. This is the second one he's owned and it's even better than the first. This is an old style military cot and looks and works great. It's surprisingly comfortable for what it is. If you or someone you know is into military items or survival items this is a great addition. I will say though that it's fairly heavy so don't expect to take it with you hiking or backpacking.

The frame is genuine Army issue as I've used before so I was happy that a cheaper frame was not used

Obviously used item. Appears to have new fabric that shows a bit of stretch marks in a couple places. The straps that secure the cot when folded up needed cleaning. In my experience end spreader bars had a webbing strap that the straps mentioned above feed through to retain the spreader bars with the cot when in storage. The keeper straps were not on these spreader bars so I installed them using my stock webbing and riveted them in place. The frame is genuine Army issue as I've used before so I was happy that a cheaper frame was not used. I would say this is a reconditioned cot that will meet my needs.

Brute - super abuse resistant sturdy cot

Very well made, but ... look at all the pictures carefully - they show heavy cloth with holes - and decide if you really want one used, in supposedly good condition. If one is available new, it will have nylon cloth at best - not canvass. There are scads of imitation and cheap US military cots. If you get shipped one of them instead of the item shown return it - a hassle but Amazon will accept it back. I lucked it up and got a new one that was genuine, so it should last forever.
