better than the 4000.4 - more power, per channel...and less distortion. Also stays cooler. Would definitely buy, again. If you are not getting perfect sound, when using this amp...it's something besides the amp. For starters: If you are expecting 500 watts per channel with this, and crank the gain all the way up, then you just aren't being realistic. Keep this in mind: every road a signal takes (wires, RCA's, caps, etc) is an opportunity for distortion. If you don't already know this, then you are not qualified to make a judgment on this amp, or any other. EVERY part of your system has to be top-notch...not just the amp. Secondly: This is an excellent amplifier, for mids and highs...not a sub...duh. If you don't know what you're doing, then get someone to do it for you that does. And, good luck, with that.

I usually write reviews when i truly find something bad and awful about a product. And well this amp i got yesterday September 5 at 11;30 am i got it installed at 4;30pm sept 5 now it is September 6 at 6;18 am on my way to work this morning it just completely shut up while i was driving. I got out to see if i can what happen and the blue lights were gone amp was lifelessly sitting there. Im sending it back today after work. I have 2 12s mtxs subs with the box enclosure also. I hope this helps you have a better idea on what to expect with this amp

This amp is no good. I have the 4000.4 Polk Audio amp also and it works great, but this 2000.2 is no good had it hooked up to 2 JBL 6x9's 100 watt RMS and the amp played for a month and 1/2 then made a pop noise and now it powers on but no more sound output at all. Would recommended looking at other brands before considering this amp at all.
