The packaging is awful!
Very soft cardboard box. UPS delivered a mangled mess. Luckily none of the pieces were missing, but some of the frames were bent. Had to take a hammer to it and made it fit. Once put together it's practical and fits its purpose. I need to purchase another one, but am really hesitant because of the packaging.

It would be 5 stars if not for the poor packaging. Arrived with ripped open box and small bend in one of the shelves (easily straightened out, and fortunately nothing missing from the box) The shelves were easy to assemble and high quality.

I love these shelving units -- they are clean looking & support a fair amount of weight. I have 2 of them in my spare room for storage. But, there are several major problems with the units: (1) Getting one that is not damaged is difficult. The steel is not very strong and the box it comes in has no padding -- so the units typically arrive bent, scraped and the last one came with open ends and parts missing. The company does not sell replacement parts. (2) They are tricky to put together, but secure once assembled. However, if you bang too hard with a hammer or rubber mallet they will bend. (3) There are no "feet" available to set the angle iron on so that it does not cut into your floor. Since it is a different size than most angle iron, none of the angle iron feet available on line can be used. Sounds terrible -- but the units really are wonderful if you can get around these problems. I wish Amazon would double box the units before shipping -- that might help protect them better. I did contact Safco, but they do not seem to be interested in fixing these problems themselves.

The shelves were all bent on the edges. Box falling apart. Very disappointed.

Putting it together with only a rubber hammer was much easier than the bolt together shelves. Seems pretty well made and heavy duty.
