These were incapable of holding an actual hot pan. They burned/singed from holding a hot pan handle -- not a flame, but a hot handle. Perhaps okay as a toy, but not in a real kitchen. See photo.

Hey, so these are cute and fit a 7 yr old pretty well. The orange side is thicker, but be warned, this is a TOY and definitely NOT to use with real heat. Heat comes through very quickly. I'm just glad I was the one who found out and not my kiddo.

So glad I purchased these! They are a little big for my 5yr old Granddaughter but so much better for her than regular oven mitts. I have small hands and I can use them as well. She loves having her very own mitts and is very particular that she always has "hot side down". I don't think there is any difference in heat protection but the stitching makes her more aware-always a good thing. Great Product.
